2016 Scholarships Recipients

The Frankfort Community Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2016 Art and Mildred Neal Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $1,000 each. Seniors of Frankfort High School are eligible to apply for the scholarship awarded at the graduation ceremony. This years recipients received a $1,000 scholarship to help with college expenses.

Ryan Kraushaar

Ryan KraushaarRyan Kraushaar is the son the Linda and Garry Kraushaar of Frankfort. Football, basketball, track, Meals on Wheels and FFA were some of the activities Ryan was involved in during high school. Ryan was selected to play in the Kansas Eight Man All Star Football game, earned all league honors in football and was the Class 1A State Champion in the javelin his senior year. He also works at J&R Grocery Store. Ryan will continue is education at Cloud County Community College.


 

Abra Shirley

Abra ShirleyAbra Shirley is the daughter of Carissa and Dale Shirley of Vermillion. Abra was involved in art, band, vocal, volleyball, track and Meals On Wheels while in high school. She earned numerous awards for her art work at the Cloud County Community College and Highland Community College Art Shows. She also earned all league honors in volleyball and was a member of the National Honor Society. Abra will continue her education at the University of Kansas where she will pursue a degree in the graphic arts and will be a member of the marching band.


 

Kyla Hardwick

Kyla HardwickKyla Hardwick is the daughter of Heidi and Lonny Hardwick of Frankfort. Kyla was involved in FCCLA, volleyball, band, choir and basketball during high school. She competed at the National FCCLA Convention and was all league in volleyball and basketball. Kyla works at the Frankfort Community Care Home as a C.N.A. and will continue her education in the health field at Cloud County Community College.
