Arthur (Art) and Elma Hough

Arthur F Hough was born on October 31, 1923 in Belleville, IL., to Charles and Emily (Mathews) Hough. After high school graduation Art worked for St. Clair National Bank. He served in the Navy May 1941- June 1946 then returned to work at the bank.

On April 6, 1957, he was united in marriage to Elma Hough in Belleville, II. In 1960 they moved to Flora, IL where Art was Vice President at First National Bank.

After Art's retirement in 1986, they spent some fun-filled years in Fairfield Bay, AR before moving to Frankfort in 1991.

He was member of the Elks Lodge, Mason Temple, and the 40/8. Art was a 65-year member of the American Legion. He was active in the Frankfort Legion Post #181 and Frankfort United Methodist Church.

Elma Mable (Warnica) Hough was born near Frankfort on June 21, 1922 to Robert Calvin and Edna Mae (McConchie) Warnica. She attended Fairmont Grade School and graduated from Frankfort High School in 1940.

She worked at Glynn's Grocery Store during high school. After graduation she worked at various other companies including Southwestern Bell, Kansas Power and Light, Russell Stover, J. C. Penney, and Scott Air Force Base in Belleville, IL.

After marrying Art and moving to Flora, IL, she worked for the City of Flora and was a library assistant at the Cumberland Trail Library.

Elma was a member of the Frankfort United Methodist Church, 5O-year member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Civic Club, and Business and Professional Women's Club.

Elma and Art enjoyed traveling, dancing, concerts as well as spending time at family gatherings and watching nieces and nephews at school and sporting events.
